McBride Tourism Master Plan and MRDT Application

Our team worked with the Village of McBride to develop a new Tourism Master Plan for the McBride region. Important components of the master planning process included significant stakeholder and community consultation, a comprehensive destination analysis, vision and strategy development, target market identification, and implementation planning. In addition to developing the Tourism Master Plan, EMC also developed an MRDT Application for the Village of McBride which was approved in 2021.

Project Highlights

RIGOROUS COMMUNITY CONSULTATION

The project was supported by a rigorous community consultation process, including surveys, digital engagement sessions for stakeholders, the public, and Council, and extensive conversations with internal and external stakeholders through one-on-one interviews.

MARKETING PLAN DEVELOPMENT

As part of the development of McBride’s MRDT Application, we developed a detailed marketing plan. This plan identified overall market strategy, goals, brand positioning, target markets, projected spending by market, marketing channels, and an annual implementation budget.

UNANIMOUS APPROVAL

The final Tourism Master Plan was unanimously approved by Village Council. Stakeholders also expressed their strong support for the plan and have begun implementing top priority recommendations.
